Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain testing strategies for designated areas, balancing manual and automated coverage.
  • Prioritize testing effort as work evolves and plan, estimate, and manage assigned work.
  • Review pull requests and technical designs to identify coverage gaps and quality risks.
  • Maintain automated tests and contribute to testing tools, processes, and quality improvements.
  • Coach developers on testing practices and collaborate with QA, product, producers, and development teams.
  • Identify and report quality information needed for team decisions and escalate risks early.

Requirements

  • Strong grounding in QA principles and methodologies with the judgment to apply them independently.
  • Programming experience with C# sufficient to review code changes and maintain automated tests.
  • Experience deriving test approaches for complex functionality from requirements and technical designs.
  • Experience raising quality standards and coaching engineers without direct reporting relationships.
  • Ability to justify estimates and manage shifting priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with WebAssembly applications in browser environments is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of the Unity Editor and building Unity projects is preferred.
  • Programming experience with JavaScript is preferred.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated test suites is preferred.
  • Scrum certification or experience working in a Scrum team is preferred.
