Responsibilities
- Productionize, deploy, monitor, and support machine learning models and data science pipelines on Databricks.
- Build, deploy, and support AI agents, GenAI applications, and RAG solutions.
- Develop reusable MLOps pipelines with automated testing, monitoring, governance, and deployment processes.
- Deploy and optimize open-source AI and machine learning models on Azure Kubernetes Service.
- Design and support custom APIs and microservices that expose AI and machine learning capabilities.
- Implement containerized solutions using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Monitor model performance, drift, reliability, and operational health in production.
- Partner with data scientists to productionize prototypes and deliver business-ready solutions.
- Collaborate with platform, security, cloud, and infrastructure teams on enterprise compliance standards.
- Troubleshoot production issues involving models, pipelines, APIs, and AI applications.
- Optimize AI and ML solutions for performance, scalability, cost, and reliability.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering standards, reusable frameworks, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in Databricks, ML engineering, MLOps, Azure, Kubernetes, and GenAI/LLM engineering.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and REST API development.
- Experience with Databricks Workflows, Model Serving, MLflow, Mosaic AI, Azure Kubernetes Service, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience building, deploying, and supporting machine learning and Generative AI solutions in production.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, platform monitoring, and containerized application deployment.
- Understanding of machine learning, large language models, retrieval-augmented generation, AI agents, and distributed computing technologies such as Spark.
- Ability to deliver end-to-end AI and machine learning use cases and collaborate with data scientists and cross-functional stakeholders.
- A background in Computer Science, Engineering, Econometrics, Mathematical Statistics, or Actuary Science is specified; a Master's or Doctorate is advantageous.
- Preferred certifications include Microsoft Azure certifications, Databricks certifications, Kubernetes certifications, DevOps/MLOps/Platform Engineering certifications, AWS or Google Cloud certifications, and recognized machine learning or AI certifications.
