Infrastructure Engineer III
JPMorgan ChaseResponsibilities
- Apply infrastructure engineering knowledge and problem-solving methods to moderate-scope projects involving applications and systems operating at scale.
- Build and validate AI-assisted and agentic automation for operational workflows such as triage, runbook execution, incident summarization, monitoring, capacity analysis, and change validation.
- Lead reliability and stability initiatives using service-level indicators, service-level objectives, error budgets, telemetry, and data-driven analytics.
- Diagnose issues, implement changes, modernize technology processes, and provide end-to-end application monitoring.
- Collect and analyze monitoring data across test and production environments and design dashboards for reliability, performance, security, and capacity management.
- Coordinate with application, infrastructure, technical, stakeholder, and customer teams to identify and remediate platform and capacity risks.
- Make significant technical decisions for projects spanning multiple technologies and applications and document escalated issues in detail.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in infrastructure engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
- Experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities in infrastructure engineering workflows, validating recommendations and accounting for data sensitivity, resiliency, security, and auditability.
- Strong knowledge of one or more scripting languages and hands-on proficiency with scripting, automation, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Experience operating in and migrating across multiple public and private cloud technologies.
- Fluency in at least one programming language and experience applying AI-assisted automation and agentic patterns to operational workflows.
- Hands-on experience with GitHub Copilot and coding assistants to build AI agents or workflows for infrastructure operations.
- Knowledge of operating systems, networking, databases, deployment practices, automation, enterprise architecture, scalability, performance, security, and toil reduction.
- Familiarity with Apache, Tomcat, IIS, WebSphere, or IHS.
- Advanced observability, monitoring, alerting, and telemetry experience, including production dashboard implementation with tools such as Splunk or Dynatrace.
- Preferred experience includes AWS, Azure, GCP, Terraform, GitHub code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, Python automation, cloud resource management, and complex mission-critical applications.
