Base Salary

$141k - $212k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Gather requirements, design, and develop features for Windows-on-Snapdragon products.
  • Participate in the end-to-end lifecycle of Windows-on-Snapdragon product lines as part of an engineering team.
  • Perform Windows kernel debugging and development, device-driver programming and debugging, and crash debugging.
  • Bring up, support, triage, and unblock issues on Qualcomm chipsets while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analyze processor architecture, cache subsystems, operating-system behavior, and system performance for embedded Windows systems.
  • Use debugging, modeling, profiling, and optimization tools to resolve software and platform issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field plus 4+ years of relevant experience; alternatively, a master's degree plus 3+ years or a PhD plus 2+ years.
  • At least 2 years of work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
  • Strong C/C++, Shell Scripting, or Python skills and hands-on experience debugging ARM or other SoC embedded systems.
  • Understanding of operating-system concepts, Windows kernel development, Windows OS internals, and Windows kernel architecture.
  • Experience with device-driver programming and debugging using WinDbg, JTAG, or other tools.
  • Preferred experience with system BIOS, UEFI, ACPI, drivers, applications, ARM assembly, QEMU modeling and debugging, and OS/system performance profiling and optimization.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, debugging, coordination, and task-completion skills.
