Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical contact for industrial customers, ODMs, OEMs, and ecosystem partners.
  • Lead RTOS BSP bring-up, porting, driver adaptation, and optimization on customer target boards.
  • Review schematics and PCB layouts, provide signal-integrity guidance, and validate board functionality.
  • Support Qualcomm MDM platform integration, including firmware, AT commands, data calls, and FOTA/SOTA updates.
  • Diagnose boot failures, driver crashes, scheduling issues, and wireless-stack defects using debugging and lab tools.
  • Collaborate with global product management, R&D, and sales teams to influence roadmaps and deliver reference materials.
  • Author BSP guides, bring-up checklists, API references, troubleshooting FAQs, and customer documentation in English.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, embedded systems, or a related technical field.
  • 5+ years of embedded systems, BSP development, or firmware engineering experience, including at least 3 years focused on RTOS BSP work.
  • Hands-on experience with at least one mainstream RTOS and bootloaders, clock and power configuration, peripheral drivers, DMA, interrupts, and scheduler tuning.
  • Experience reading schematics and datasheets, configuring pin multiplexing and memory maps, and performing board bring-up.
  • Proficiency in C for bare-metal and RTOS environments, with knowledge of ARM Cortex-M/A, linker scripts, and memory-mapped I/O.
  • Experience integrating Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and/or LTE/5G connectivity at the BSP or driver level.
  • Strong debugging skills, including crash dumps, stack traces, real-time tracing, JTAG/SWD, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, and QXDM or equivalent tools.
  • Business-level written and spoken English proficiency is mandatory.
  • Preferred qualifications include Qualcomm MDM BSP experience, Qualcomm firmware and diagnostic tools, secure boot, TrustZone/TEE, OTA frameworks, power-management BSPs, and industrial or robotics experience.
  • Qualcomm’s alternate minimum qualification paths include a bachelor’s degree plus 2+ years, a master’s degree plus 1+ year, or a PhD in a relevant field, along with 1+ year of programming and debugging experience.
