Base Salary
$130k - $186k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the public and private cloud PaaS layer supporting internal product deployments.
- Write clean, maintainable software and infrastructure scripts using Python, Java, Bash, PowerShell, or similar languages.
- Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code pipelines and DevOps or GitOps automation.
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain scalable, reliable, and maintainable software systems.
- Lead execution and delivery of complex features and projects while managing priorities and deadlines.
- Participate in architecture and design reviews and provide diligent code reviews.
- Build testable software and automate testing using tools such as JUnit and Selenium.
- Maintain service health, telemetry, quality, and incident response; perform root-cause analysis and prevent recurrence.
- Document features, enhancements, fixes, and training materials.
- Partner with Agile development teams to integrate and deploy UKG software across cloud infrastructure.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience.
- Deep expertise in Python or Java development.
- At least 1 year of GitOps or DevOps experience, or experience building infrastructure-as-code pipelines or processes for large teams.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and public cloud deployment platforms.
- Experience designing and administering CI/CD pipelines.
- Proven ability to lead and deliver large-scale, complex software projects.
- Proficiency with Azure, AWS, GCP, and GitHub.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Experience with GitHub Actions, Argo CD, Terraform, and Ansible for GitOps, CI/CD, Kubernetes deployment, and container automation.
- Experience with software architecture, design patterns, telemetry, and observability.
- Understanding of DNS architecture, service-to-service routing, traffic shaping, canary and blue/green deployments, API gateways, edge routing, TLS/mTLS, certificate lifecycle management, and Kubernetes networking.
- Experience with Kubernetes operators, Services, Ingress, Gateway API, and service mesh platforms such as Istio or Linkerd.
- U.S. citizenship is ideal, and existing or previous government security clearance is preferred or the ability to obtain appropriate clearance is required.
