Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain secure authentication and authorization capabilities for enterprise SaaS applications.
- Develop and enhance full-stack application components using Python, Django, React, and GraphQL.
- Perform threat modeling, secure design reviews, and security-focused code reviews.
- Identify security weaknesses and anti-patterns and recommend practical remediation.
- Partner with software engineers, architects, and product teams to embed security requirements and secure engineering practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Design scalable security controls and automation using AWS Lambda and Amazon S3.
- Integrate third-party technologies and security services into SaaS applications while assessing security, reliability, and operational considerations.
- Translate security risks and technical findings into clear guidance, design documentation, and actionable engineering requirements.
- Contribute reusable patterns, standards, and guardrails for secure software development.
- Provide technical mentorship and influence engineering teams to apply secure design and coding practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering, or equivalent education and/or related work experience.
- 5+ years of professional software development experience, including hands-on development of enterprise or SaaS applications.
- Strong understanding of secure software design principles, common application vulnerabilities, and security design patterns.
- Ability to evaluate technical risk, identify root causes, and recommend solutions balancing security, scalability, and delivery needs.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills with a detail-oriented and quality-driven approach.
- Ability to produce clear technical designs, security requirements, and remediation guidance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate across engineering, architecture, product, and security teams.
- Ability to work effectively in an agile environment, manage competing priorities, and take ownership from design through implementation.
