Base Salary
$163k - $245k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, train, fine-tune, and maintain vision, vision-language, and vision-language-action models for autonomous systems.
- Build scalable data pipelines, supervised fine-tuning workflows, evaluation loops, benchmarks, and testing methodologies.
- Deploy and optimize machine learning models for embedded hardware using ONNX, TensorRT, and hardware-accelerated inference frameworks.
- Solve perception and autonomy problems across aerial and other autonomous platforms in complex operational environments.
- Translate machine learning research into production-ready capabilities while balancing performance, robustness, efficiency, and reliability.
- Collaborate with perception, autonomy, platform, and software engineering teams to integrate ML capabilities into autonomous systems.
- Improve training infrastructure, developer tooling, deployment workflows, and model lifecycle management.
Requirements
- Typically requires 5 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree, 4 years with a master's degree, 2 years with a PhD, or equivalent work experience.
- Proficiency in machine learning fundamentals and experience training and deploying computer-vision ML models in production.
- Strong understanding of 3D vision problems and algorithms.
- Experience with PyTorch and TensorFlow.
- Expertise deploying models with TensorRT and ONNX.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate research into practical applications.
- Ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.
- Preferred: experience developing autonomous systems for defense customers.
- Preferred: experience training or fine-tuning vision-language models, vision-language-action models, or world models.
- Preferred: machine learning or computer-vision open-source contributions and publications in leading computer vision or robotics conferences and journals.
