
Software Technical Support Engineer Intern

Responsibilities
- Communicate complex technical information and troubleshooting guidance to customers by telephone, written correspondence, and electronic services.
- Analyze, debug, troubleshoot, and fully resolve customer problems involving IPConfigure products.
- Write scripts, create technical solutions, and document solutions in knowledge-base articles, samples, whitepapers, and training materials.
- Identify and report software bugs and customer suggestions to product groups.
- Build and configure customer servers, install required software, and support IPConfigure deployments.
- Cycle cameras through the lab for testing, install network switches, run cables, and troubleshoot issues at customer sites when remote access is unavailable.
- Continue developing expertise in IPConfigure products and technologies while supporting company events when needed.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong written and spoken English skills, including the ability to explain complex technical information clearly.
- Networking background and experience with Linux or Windows system administration.
- Debugging, troubleshooting, problem-solving, ownership, and customer issue resolution skills.
- Desired experience with networking, certificates, authentication, TCP/UDP, firewalls, Windows Server, and Linux.
- Helpdesk experience, cloud or hosted infrastructure experience, scripting for automation, and RESTful Web API experience are bonuses.
