Responsibilities
- Partner with business, product, architecture, and engineering teams to identify and implement AI opportunities across the SDLC.
- Build AI-powered solutions that improve engineering productivity, software quality, and delivery outcomes.
- Design and develop reusable agentic workflows, developer tools, and engineering foundations.
- Implement context retrieval, agent orchestration, tool integration, model evaluation, observability, guardrails, and secure execution.
- Apply AI to requirements gathering, solution design, architecture, software development, testing, traceability, defect analysis, and quality controls.
- Ensure AI-enabled development capabilities comply with security, privacy, governance, and risk management standards.
- Evaluate and recommend AI models, agent frameworks, and developer tools for enterprise software engineering use cases.
- Pilot, refine, and scale AI-enabled engineering practices with development teams.
- Measure and optimize engineering, quality, adoption, and developer experience outcomes.
- Contribute to architecture reviews, engineering standards, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on software engineering experience, particularly with Python.
- Experience developing and supporting production APIs, services, and developer tools.
- Knowledge of Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or other enterprise programming languages is an asset.
- Strong understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle.
- Experience with AWS, Snowflake, and Kubernetes.
- Strong knowledge of generative AI and agentic AI engineering.
- Experience with source control, APIs, microservices, containers, CI/CD, automated testing, Infrastructure as Code, and DevSecOps practices.
- Understanding of security, privacy, and governance considerations for AI agents and enterprise systems.
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Economics, or Mathematics, or equivalent working experience.
- At least 2 years of software development experience, preferably in financial services, mutual funds, or investment.
- Hands-on production software delivery experience, with practical AI/ML, generative AI, or agentic application experience strongly preferred.
- Experience with open-source or open-weight code models, model evaluation, model serving or self-hosting, and AI coding or agentic development tools is preferred.
- AWS certification or equivalent hands-on cloud experience is an asset.
- Experience with Agile or Scrum environments and modern DevSecOps practices is an asset.

- Base salary and discretionary performance bonus with total annual cash compensation of $101,000 to $118,000.
