Product Accessibility Engineer
InformaticaResponsibilities
- Review mockups and prototypes for accessibility issues such as color contrast, descriptions, and heading structure.
- Collaborate with development teams to promote accessible use of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.
- Assist with automated, manual, and assistive-technology accessibility testing, including screen-reader testing.
- Identify accessibility barriers and report or propose solutions in collaboration with product managers, designers, and engineers.
- Contribute to AI-powered accessibility projects when applicable.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Front-End Development, Human Factors Engineering, or Interaction Design.
- Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Understanding of user experience principles and strong design awareness.
- Strong communication, teamwork, empathy, problem-solving ability, and commitment to inclusive technology.
- Direct experience using and critically reviewing code and artifacts generated by LLM coding assistants and agentic tools.
- Experience with tools such as Gemini, Cursor, or other agent-based frameworks is preferred.
- Experience or interest in AI development is a plus.
