Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and deploy full-stack applications using Python, JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, automated testing, and AI evaluations.
- Develop backend APIs, orchestration services, application data models, and workflows using relational and non-relational databases.
- Build user-facing review and approval experiences incorporating language models, document intelligence, embeddings, semantic search, vector search, and source-grounded generation.
- Apply secure software-delivery practices including CI/CD, logging, monitoring, troubleshooting, and validation of AI-assisted code.
- Partner with domain experts and technology teams to understand workflows, identify automation opportunities, and integrate applications with shared platforms and services.
- Create reusable software components, engineering patterns, and documentation.
Requirements
- Four or more years of professional software-engineering experience building and shipping applications.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong Python skills with experience developing backend services, designing APIs, testing software, using Git and code review, supporting continuous delivery, and deploying to cloud or managed-platform environments.
- Experience with JavaScript or TypeScript, React or Angular, SQL, data modeling, and application databases.
- Hands-on experience building LLM capabilities such as retrieval-augmented generation, structured extraction, tool use, prompt workflows, or AI evaluation.
- Familiarity with responsible-AI controls, observability, and sound judgment when using AI-assisted development tools.
- Ability to evaluate technical options and communicate recommendations clearly in professional English and Spanish.
- Preferred experience with Azure storage, database, document-intelligence, and search services; unstructured-document processing; hybrid retrieval; embeddings; vector databases; reranking; and retrieval evaluation.
- Preferred familiarity with asynchronous or batch-processing pipelines, OCI container packaging and runtime, enterprise container orchestration, declarative infrastructure, horizontal scaling, Infrastructure as Code, traditional NLP, custom model deployment or fine-tuning, and regulated financial or operational workflows.
