Responsibilities

Fix defects and make small improvements across the cloud-native financial-risk platform.
Write and maintain code and unit tests using established team patterns.
Add and maintain automated tests to support product reliability.
Investigate reported issues and learn to identify root causes.
Track work in Jira, maintain ticket updates, and link tickets to pull requests.
Open pull requests and participate in code reviews.
Use AI-assisted development tools and validate their output.
Follow applicable security policies and secure software development processes.

Bachelor’s degree, or a degree in progress, in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Programming experience in at least one language such as Python, Go, Java, or C#.
Basic SQL knowledge, including SELECT queries with joins and filters.
Basic understanding of REST APIs and HTTP.
Basic familiarity with Git and the command line.
Clear written English and a willingness to investigate issues, ask questions, and collaborate.
Proof of the right to work in the UK.
Exposure to SAS programming through coursework or certification is welcome.
Some experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or a cloud platform is welcome.
Some experience with JavaScript or React is welcome.
Interest in finance, banking, or risk management is welcome.
