Base Salary
$286k - $392k/yr
Responsibilities
- Articulate and evangelize the technical vision for cloud asset intelligence and related domains.
- Decompose complex problems into practical and operational solutions while ensuring design and implementation quality.
- Define long-term platform strategy and API standards with senior engineering and architecture leaders.
- Modernize monolithic systems into microservice architectures and event-driven platforms.
- Lead adoption of AI and automation capabilities to improve cloud platform scalability, reliability, and engineering efficiency.
- Lead cross-divisional projects, architectural reviews, and technology best-practice initiatives.
- Act as a technical authority on performance, scalability, operability, and other non-functional characteristics.
- Mentor engineers and serve as a force multiplier by elevating technical expertise across engineering and product communities.
- Influence portfolio-level technology strategy, engineering OKRs, organization design, and talent strategy.
- Support the full system lifecycle from conception through production support, including operational excellence in high-severity incident environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field is required.
- At least 9 years of software engineering experience and at least 6 years of cloud engineering experience are required.
- Preferred: master’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
- Preferred: 12+ years of coding experience with Java, Scala, Python, Go, or Node.js.
- Preferred: 8+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or OCI.
- Preferred: experience architecting multi-tenant, multi-region platforms with isolation, access controls, and quota management.
- Preferred: 4+ years of hands-on experience with knowledge graphs and graph query languages for asset discovery and topology mapping.
- Preferred: experience with inventory discovery, telemetry aggregation, CMDBs, multi-cloud state tracking, AI-native platforms, distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, networking, security, and identity integrations.
- Preferred: active certifications related to cloud infrastructure management or security.
- Preferred: experience with technology strategy, engineering OKRs, executive communication, organization design, professional development, and leading leaders.
- Preferred: expertise applying agentic AI coding tools to systemic development challenges and experience with risk management and operational excellence.
