Responsibilities

  • Build and improve security tooling integrated into developer workflows, including vulnerability management and CMDB systems.
  • Design, provision, and maintain secure AWS infrastructure and enterprise security services using infrastructure as code.
  • Embed automated security testing, compliance checks, policy enforcement, and deployment safeguards into CI/CD systems.
  • Implement Kubernetes security practices including cluster hardening, workload protection, policy enforcement, and runtime monitoring.
  • Investigate security and infrastructure incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement durable remediation and automation.
  • Improve security observability through logging, metrics, alerting, and monitoring capabilities.
  • Maintain security tools, runbooks, and documentation while collaborating with engineering, platform, and SRE teams.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in security engineering, infrastructure, site reliability, or platform engineering roles.
  • Strong software development skills with experience building production-grade tools, services, or platforms using Go, Python, or similar languages.
  • Experience developing internal security platforms and tooling for vulnerability management, asset inventory, or CMDB systems.
  • Strong experience securing cloud environments such as AWS or Azure and production containerized workloads.
  • Hands-on experience managing AWS infrastructure with Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Experience operating CSPM and cloud security scanning platforms and remediating critical vulnerabilities with engineering teams.
  • Hands-on Kubernetes security experience, including cluster hardening, workload protection, policy enforcement, and runtime monitoring.
  • Deep understanding of Linux systems, networking, distributed systems, and related security controls.
  • Experience integrating security into CI/CD pipelines and using automation and infrastructure as code to build secure platforms.
  • Familiarity with observability and security monitoring tools, including logging, metrics, alerting, and SIEM.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a proactive approach to vulnerability management, hardening, and continuous security improvement.
