Responsibilities

  • Develop data center software and firmware tools for NVIDIA server designs.
  • Instrument code, achieve code coverage, and write and automate unit tests for implemented modules.
  • Maintain detailed unit test case reports and provide quality reports covering static analysis, code coverage, and CPU load.
  • Collaborate with hardware teams on hardware design, architecture, and schematics reviews.
  • Work with QA and test architects to develop test tools and automate qualification of system software and firmware stacks.

Requirements

  • MS or PhD in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field of education.
  • Active development experience using Python and C/C++ as primary programming languages on Linux.
  • Knowledge of platform management, including BMC-BIOS communication, thermal management, power management, firmware updates, device monitoring, and firmware security.
  • Bash and Python scripting and debugging experience in Linux environments.
  • Experience operating Git.
  • Strong written and oral communication, teamwork, work ethic, creativity, and task ownership.
  • Preferred: hands-on experience with x86 or ARM system architecture.
  • Preferred: familiarity with data center server hardware and in-band and out-of-band management of firmware and hardware components.
  • Preferred: understanding of REST architecture, especially JSON over HTTP with OAuth.
