Responsibilities
- Design, develop, maintain, optimize, and execute automated test suites and frameworks for web and API use cases.
- Identify manual testing processes suitable for automation and implement effective automation solutions.
- Create and execute test plans, test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios.
- Perform exploratory and edge-case manual testing when necessary.
- Analyze test results, report defects, and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and develop comprehensive test strategies.
- Continuously improve automation frameworks and testing processes.
- Mentor junior QA team members in automation practices and tools.
- Stay current with testing tools, technologies, and best practices.
Requirements
- At least 12 years of software testing experience, including at least 3 years focused on test automation.
- Experience with Selenium, including framework maintenance, framework optimization, and automated test execution.
- Expertise with Cucumber and BDD testing, plus good knowledge of Java and object-oriented programming concepts.
- Experience understanding business requirements and selecting suitable testing techniques.
- Hands-on experience writing test scenarios and automating web services using Rest Assured or Postman.
- Experience testing relational databases with SQL.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous delivery practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- ISTQB certification or equivalent is preferred.
- Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner is preferred.
- Knowledge of Oracle or Mongo database testing and queries is preferred.
- Understanding of payments systems and processes, ISO 20022 standards, and payments messaging is preferred.
