Base Salary
$209k - $262k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Design and implement large-scale, distributed, and cloud-native systems with high reliability and performance requirements.
- Provide technical leadership across multiple teams and shape system architecture and long-term technology direction.
- Collaborate with digital product managers, architects, and product leaders to deliver cloud-based solutions and define platform roadmaps and shared-services strategy.
- Use programming languages, databases, container orchestration services, and AWS tools to build scalable solutions.
- Mentor engineering community members and senior engineers while driving professional development and technical standards.
- Lead architectural design reviews, cross-functional engineering efforts, and large-scale technical initiatives.
- Implement observability, reliability, performance optimization, coding standards, and design patterns across teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or a related quantitative field is required.
- At least 6 years of software engineering experience is required; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 3 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies is required.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, 9+ years coding with multiple listed languages, and extensive experience with open-source frameworks, front-end frameworks, APIs, databases, cloud technologies, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, automated testing, Git-based version control, and cloud troubleshooting.
- Preferred experience includes mentoring senior engineers, using observability in distributed systems, leading architecture reviews, enforcing coding standards and design patterns, implementing reliability practices, and influencing technology strategy.
- Experience with modern AI-based coding tools, interactive AI tooling, enterprise technical standards, cross-functional engineering efforts, or large-scale technical initiatives is preferred.
