Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, review, launch, operate, and continuously improve DynamoDB features and services.
- Solve complex distributed-systems problems involving large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed applications.
- Maintain high standards for execution, operational readiness, code quality, and design quality.
- Participate in design reviews, code reviews, customer experience reviews, and iterative feature launches.
- Mentor junior engineers and help drive their professional growth.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship design or architecture experience involving design patterns, reliability, and scaling of new and existing systems.
- At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- At least 1 year designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications, tools, systems, or services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- At least 1 year of object-oriented design experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: at least 3 years covering the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
