Responsibilities
- Design and build future-proof full-stack solutions while considering broader system impacts.
- Own significant features from conception through architecture, implementation, testing, release, and deployment.
- Estimate, plan, track, and manage development progress, risks, and dependencies with senior engineers.
- Gather and refine requirements and release software in a timely manner.
- Work with technical support to identify, reproduce, and remediate bugs.
- Build and deliver features using agentic tooling, including custom skills, agents, and harnesses.
- Improve the AI-enabled developer experience by contributing prompts, skills, workflows, and related practices.
Requirements
- A BSc or MSc in Computer Science or a related qualification, or commercial experience developing in C#, Java, or another object-oriented programming language.
- At least two years of hands-on commercial experience programming on the .NET platform using C#, including ASP.NET MVC.
- Experience with design patterns, refactoring, object-oriented design, Web API, database design and development, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and jQuery.
- Practical experience with AI coding assistants and agentic engineering workflows, with willingness to work primarily through agents while owning architecture, review, and quality.
- Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS, or GCP and source control tools such as TFS, SVN, or Git.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills, communication skills, interpersonal skills, and work ethic.
- Legal right to work in the UK.
- Desirable qualifications include Azure Functions, queues, custom agent skills, harnesses, MCP servers, prompt libraries, AI code evaluations, guardrails, review practices, testing methodologies, LEAN software development, CI/CD systems, Bootstrap, .NET Core, Entity Framework Code First migrations, Claude or Claude Code, and financial services experience.
