Base Salary
$115k - $195k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, development, and maintenance of native iOS and Android applications.
- Provide technical direction, review designs and code, mentor developers, and promote engineering best practices.
- Build secure, scalable, and high-performing mobile features using Swift/SwiftUI and Kotlin/Java.
- Integrate mobile applications with APIs, authentication services, analytics, feature flags, push notifications, and third-party SDKs.
- Collaborate with product, UX, QA, backend, web, cloud, and release teams to deliver end-to-end mobile capabilities.
- Align React web application behavior, user experience, routing, state management, and API usage with mobile experiences.
- Work with backend teams on APIs, microservices, cloud deployments, and PCF/Cloud Foundry dependencies.
- Drive CI/CD, release readiness, troubleshooting, performance tuning, observability, security remediation, and production support.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of software engineering experience, including strong hands-on native mobile development for iOS and Android.
- Advanced experience with Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, Xcode, the iOS SDK, and mobile dependency management.
- Advanced experience with Kotlin or Java, the Android SDK, Android Studio, Jetpack, and Gradle.
- Experience leading technical design, mentoring engineers, driving code quality, and supporting enterprise release processes.
- Understanding of mobile architecture patterns, secure development practices, accessibility, performance, and automated testing.
- Working knowledge of React-based web applications and alignment between web and mobile features.
- Familiarity with backend services, APIs, microservices, Java/Spring Boot services, cloud deployments, and PCF/Cloud Foundry environments.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, build automation, environment configuration, monitoring, and production support.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, stakeholder management, and cross-functional leadership skills.
- Preferred experience in regulated, financial services, or high-security enterprise environments.
- Preferred knowledge of Azure, Kubernetes, Docker, observability tools, mobile SDK integrations, and release governance.
- Preferred experience leading platform modernization, mobile architecture improvements, security remediation, or cloud migration initiatives.
