Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deploy, and iterate on algorithms and ML models across various platforms.
- Translate customer needs into clear algorithmic requirements in collaboration with Product Managers and Designers.
- Deploy algorithms into production and monitor their behavior in real-world environments.
- Analyze model and algorithm performance using various testing and evaluation methods.
- Design and maintain data schemas for efficient telemetry and model retraining.
- Optimize algorithms for latency, battery usage, and robustness.
- Investigate outliers and failure modes in production data.
- Generate synthetic data for training and testing purposes.
- Build processes to monitor model performance and data drift.
- Collaborate on data pipelines that support model development and retraining.
- Support algorithms used in customer-facing products and manufacturing workflows.
- Manage technical priorities and project timelines in a fast-paced environment.
- Communicate technical findings and improvement plans to stakeholders.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in building algorithms, ML systems, or production software.
- Proven track record of shipping algorithms or ML models into production.
- Strong programming skills in Python and C/C++ for production-quality code.
- Experience with SQL and Data Warehousing solutions like DataBricks or Snowflake.
- Practical knowledge of algorithm development and model building using tools like MATLAB or TensorFlow.
- Familiarity with deploying models to edge environments using frameworks like TensorFlow Lite.
- Ability to optimize algorithms against real-world constraints.
- Experience with telemetry and production performance data analysis.
- Hands-on experience with data schemas and telemetry flows.
- Knowledge of experimentation methods like A/B testing and simulation.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and MLOps workflows.
- Domain knowledge in mobility, IoT, automotive, or related fields.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
