Responsibilities
- Partner with system architects, product managers, and developers to analyze specifications and identify edge cases.
- Design, write, and scale reusable automated test frameworks using Python or similar languages.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Translate requirements into manual and automated happy-path and edge-case test scenarios while maintaining traceability.
- Troubleshoot firmware and software defects by analyzing log files and system behavior.
- Document test results in automated data-driven dashboards and suggest process or tooling improvements.
- Own feature validation assignments and collaborate across teams with minimal supervision.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Python or similar object-oriented scripting languages and experience writing robust automated test code.
- Hands-on familiarity with microcontrollers, embedded systems, basic networking, and hardware-software integration.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and an interest in complex software and hardware interactions.
- Ability to communicate proactively, collaborate across teams, and take ownership of recurring feature validation tasks.
