Responsibilities
- Develop object-oriented real-time software components primarily in C++ to reproduce aircraft behavior.
- Simulate digital and analog signals associated with aircraft avionics systems.
- Participate in problem analysis, requirements definition, design, implementation, informal testing, troubleshooting, and software integration.
- Support the software’s user community and adapt simulation approaches across multiple aircraft systems and technical requirements.
- Collaborate autonomously and within multidisciplinary teams involving software, systems, avionics, and other engineering groups.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science.
- Up to three years of software development experience.
- Knowledge of C++ and C#.
- Ability to learn aircraft systems, simulation models, and new technical concepts quickly.
- Ability to work autonomously, manage changing technical requirements, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to communicate technical subjects orally and in writing in English or French.
- Valid driver’s license or ability to commute to the Mirabel offices.
- Ability to meet Canada’s Controlled Goods Program requirements and, where applicable, ITAR requirements.
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain Government of Canada Reliability Status and Level II Secret security clearance.
- Preferred qualifications include knowledge of Rust or Java, FPGA development or technologies, aeronautics, avionics, or aircraft systems, plus experience with real-time simulation software and an interest in aviation.
