Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement Generative AI applications within the SAP ecosystem.
- Develop intelligent agents, enterprise search, summarization, content generation, and workflow automation use cases.
- Build retrieval-augmented generation solutions using embeddings, semantic search, and SAP HANA Cloud vector capabilities.
- Use SAP Business Technology Platform, SAP AI Core, and the generative AI hub to integrate and manage foundation models.
- Design prompts, structured outputs, and model orchestration workflows for enterprise business scenarios.
- Implement backend services using Python, Node.js, or Java and integrate large language models with SAP and third-party APIs.
- Develop responsive interfaces for AI-powered applications using SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, or modern frontend frameworks.
- Evaluate AI solutions for accuracy, relevance, reliability, latency, and cost, and help implement safeguards against hallucinations and unsafe outputs.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, testing, and AI evaluation.
- Collaborate with product, design, data science, and development teams on project requirements and deliverables.
Requirements
- Currently hold or be graduating soon from a master’s degree in computer science, artificial intelligence, data science, or an equivalent field.
- Have strong software development skills with Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, or Java.
- Have foundational knowledge of Generative AI, large language models, machine learning, natural language processing, or AI application development.
- Have experience developing RESTful APIs, data-driven applications, or cloud-based services.
- Understand prompt engineering, embeddings, vector databases, or retrieval-augmented generation.
- Preferred qualifications include hands-on experience with large language model APIs or open-source foundation models, AI agents, RAG frameworks, structured outputs, function calling, or model evaluation.
- Preferred qualifications include familiarity with SAP Business Technology Platform, SAP AI Core, the generative AI hub, SAP HANA Cloud, SAPUI5, SAP Fiori, frontend frameworks, responsible AI, or cloud platforms.
- Relevant academic, internship, research, open-source, or personal project experience in Generative AI or full-stack development is preferred.
- Past work experience is an added advantage.
