Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement generative AI applications across frontend, backend, AI model, and enterprise data integration layers.
- Develop intelligent agents, enterprise search, summarization, content generation, and workflow automation use cases.
- Build RAG solutions using embeddings, semantic search, and SAP HANA Cloud vector capabilities.
- Use SAP BTP, SAP AI Core, and the generative AI hub to integrate and manage foundation models.
- Design prompts, structured outputs, and model orchestration workflows for enterprise scenarios.
- Implement backend services in Python, Node.js, or Java and integrate LLMs with SAP and third-party APIs.
- Develop responsive interfaces using SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, or modern frontend frameworks.
- Evaluate generative AI solutions for accuracy, relevance, reliability, latency, and cost, and implement guardrails.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, testing, and AI evaluation.
- Collaborate with product, design, data science, and development teams.
Requirements
- Master's degree in computer science, artificial intelligence, data science, or an equivalent field; candidates must have graduated or be graduating soon.
- Strong software development skills in Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js, or Java.
- Foundational knowledge of generative AI, large language models, machine learning, natural language processing, or AI application development.
- Experience developing RESTful APIs, data-driven applications, or cloud-based services.
- Understanding of prompt engineering, embeddings, vector databases, or RAG.
- Availability to work full time for 40 hours per week in Palo Alto.
- Preferred experience with LLM APIs, open-source foundation models, prompt engineering, structured outputs, function calling, AI agents, RAG frameworks, or model evaluation.
- Preferred familiarity with SAP BTP, SAP AI Core, the generative AI hub, SAP HANA Cloud, SAPUI5, SAP Fiori, modern frontend frameworks, responsible AI, and AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Academic, internship, research, open-source, or personal project experience involving generative AI or full-stack development is preferred.
