Responsibilities
- Engage customers during presales to gather requirements and explain Canonical technology.
- Develop solutions for prospective clients.
- Participate in the delivery of selected embedded Linux projects.
- Convey market requirements to Canonical stakeholders and help develop or refine generic solutions.
- Act as a customer advocate and trusted technical advisor.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Extensive Linux experience, preferably with Debian or Ubuntu.
- Solid embedded Linux experience with Yocto, Buildroot, or an RTOS.
- Fluency in at least one of Golang, Python, C, C++, or Rust.
- Professional written and spoken English and professional fluency in the local Japanese language.
- Experience with low-level Linux boot, BIOS, firmware, and embedded software development methodologies.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to multitask and meet commitments.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.
- Customer engagement experience is a plus but not required.
