Responsibilities
- Develop software for cryptographic devices and cryptographic key management systems.
- Learn and contribute across the software development lifecycle, including design, integration, testing, requirements traceability, estimation, and work package definition.
- Develop real-time embedded software in a resource-constrained environment using C or C++ and develop Windows application software.
- Apply software design, architectural patterns, UML, coding standards, and Airbus Defence & Space development processes.
- Collaborate with systems, hardware, FPGA, and verification engineers to deliver secure cryptographic products.
Requirements
- Minimum 104–112 UCAS points from three A levels at grade C or above, or a BTEC/Cambridge Technical Extended Diploma at DMM, or a T Level at Merit or above.
- Five GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, including English Language or Welsh First Language and Mathematics or Mathematics–Numeracy.
- Genuine interest in software development and strong self-motivation, articulation, and verbal and written communication skills.
- Applicants must submit a CV with grades identified as predicted or achieved and a cover letter explaining their motivation and suitability.
- Candidates must have current legal authorization to work in the United Kingdom for the full duration of the programme and may need to pass BPSS, UK SC-level security clearance, or Export Control checks.
