Responsibilities
- Capture, analyse, and manage software and system requirements.
- Develop and enhance SCADA and HMI applications using AVEVA Plant SCADA and Citect.
- Integrate software with advanced control and automation systems.
- Support software verification, validation, testing, configuration management, and release activities.
- Produce technical documentation and maintain engineering records.
- Investigate and resolve software issues throughout development.
- Collaborate with systems, controls, and integration engineers on project delivery.
- Ensure compliance with engineering, quality, and safety standards.
Requirements
- Strong experience developing SCADA and HMI software solutions.
- Expertise with AVEVA Plant SCADA, Citect, or similar industrial automation platforms.
- Experience with industrial control systems, automation technologies, system integration, software testing, and verification.
- Knowledge of Windows-based software applications and operating environments.
- Ability to interpret technical requirements and translate them into software solutions.
- Experience in regulated or safety-critical engineering environments.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering, or equivalent military experience.
- Candidates must be willing and eligible to obtain SC clearance.
- Experience in defence, marine, aerospace, energy, or other highly regulated industries is desirable.
- Understanding of control systems architecture, real-time monitoring applications, software lifecycle processes, configuration management tools, cybersecurity considerations in industrial systems, and integration or commissioning activities is desirable.
