Base Salary

$175k - $220k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain scalable cloud and container platforms across Azure Kubernetes Service, AWS Elastic Container Service, and Red Hat OpenShift.
  • Engineer and sustain CI/CD pipelines with automated build, testing, security scanning, release, and deployment workflows.
  • Develop Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration automation using Terraform, Helm, Ansible, and Bash.
  • Implement container hardening, image assurance, secrets management, runtime security, continuous monitoring, and compliance validation.
  • Support hybrid-cloud integration, application modernization, legacy-system migration, and interoperability across enterprise mission systems.
  • Evolve platform services for orchestration, service networking, observability, policy enforcement, and secure access.
  • Collaborate with software, systems, network, cybersecurity, database, and Government stakeholder teams.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve complex Kubernetes, cloud-platform, integration, and deployment issues.
  • Support secure deployment and sustainment of PostgreSQL, Cassandra, and MySQL data services.
  • Produce architecture, implementation, deployment, operating, and configuration documentation.
  • Evaluate emerging DevSecOps, platform engineering, cloud, and automation technologies.
  • Provide technical status, risk assessments, recommendations, and capability briefings to leadership and Government stakeholders.

Requirements

  • At least 12 years of general full-time work experience, potentially reduced with advanced education.
  • At least 6 years of directly related progressive experience in DevSecOps, platform engineering, systems integration, cloud engineering, or related infrastructure engineering.
  • At least 1 year of management or leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated experience designing, deploying, and sustaining Kubernetes or other containerized enterprise platforms.
  • Experience with one or more cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, or Red Hat OpenShift.
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, automation workflows, and secure software delivery processes.
  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and configuration automation tools such as Terraform, Helm, Ansible, and Bash.
  • Strong understanding of Docker and Kubernetes deployment, orchestration, scaling, and lifecycle management.
  • Familiarity with RMF, DISA STIGs, Zero Trust, secure hardening, and other cloud-platform security controls.
  • Ability to analyze complex multi-organization technical problems and develop scalable solutions.
  • A baseline DoD 8140/IAT certification, such as Security+ CE.
  • Active DoW Secret security clearance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including collaboration and leadership or Government briefings.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
  • Preferred experience includes MDA or DoD modernization programs, Coder Platform, cloud-native observability, cATO, hybrid-cloud migration, application modernization, legacy integration, iterative delivery models, technology evaluation, and secure database deployment.
  • Preferred certifications include CKA, CKS, AWS/Azure/Red Hat OpenShift certifications, Terraform Associate, RHCSA, RHCE, CASP+ CE, CISSP, or equivalent certifications.
