Responsibilities
- Own a portion of the Agent or LLM control roadmap from customer conversations through implementation, launch, and iteration.
- Build Agent Gateway and A2A protocol features or multi-LLM routing, cost control, and reliability capabilities.
- Use AI-assisted development tools in daily software development.
- Analyze usage data and customer feedback to guide product decisions.
- Prototype features, test them with real users, and adapt based on results.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Design, Staff Engineers, and other engineering pods across LLM control, MCP, and the core API gateway.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience, ideally in a product-facing or full-stack role.
- Backend experience with a statically typed language; Java or C# is required.
- Understanding of authentication and authorization flows such as OAuth2/OIDC and identity propagation in distributed systems.
- Ability to communicate directly with customers and translate feedback into technical plans.
- Hands-on daily experience with AI coding assistants such as Cursor, Claude Code, or GitHub Copilot.
- Strong fundamentals in API design and distributed systems.
- Familiarity with A2A communication patterns, API gateways, or API management platforms is preferred.
- Exposure to LLM-based products, agentic workflows, multiple LLM provider integrations, or AI usage governance is preferred.
- Familiarity with MCP or similar orchestration standards is preferred.
- Experience with Docker, Helm, Kubernetes, containerized deployment, and CI/CD pipelines is preferred.
- Familiarity with NoSQL or document databases such as MongoDB is preferred.
