
Software Engineer III - Android - Chase UK
JPMorgan ChaseResponsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, build, and release Android mobile features.
- Develop and maintain clean, efficient, testable, and reusable Kotlin code.
- Build user interfaces with Jetpack Compose and modern Android technologies.
- Contribute to testing strategies for reliability, performance, and quality across customer journeys.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues.
- Participate in agile ceremonies, sprint planning, code reviews, and team collaboration.
- Communicate progress, blockers, and technical considerations with distributed stakeholders.
- Stay current with Android development trends, tools, libraries, and platform updates.
- Use and validate enterprise-authorized AI capabilities while following data sensitivity and security requirements.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with expanding applied experience.
- Solid knowledge of Kotlin and modern Android development practices.
- Experience building Android applications with Jetpack Compose.
- Understanding of Android architecture patterns such as MVVM or MVI.
- Familiarity with Android Jetpack libraries and components.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code with strong quality awareness.
- Understanding of REST APIs and mobile integration with backend services.
- Awareness of mobile performance, accessibility, and security considerations.
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to use, review, and validate enterprise-authorized AI-assisted code and recommendations while following security and data-handling requirements.
- Preferred experience with React Native, TypeScript, JavaScript, Swift, Detox, Appium, GraphQL APIs, CI/CD pipelines, automated mobile delivery, design systems, and component libraries.
