Responsibilities
- Develop and customize AI solutions from prototype through production ownership.
- Build generative-AI and large-language-model solutions using retrieval, tool calling, structured extraction, and agentic workflows.
- Identify and size automation and decision-support opportunities across customs and business processes.
- Define and operate evaluation processes, including regression checks and criteria for scaling or ending pilots.
- Manage pilots and implementations while monitoring performance, inference cost, latency, and business impact.
- Collaborate with Operations, Transformation, IT, Group teams, and technology partners.
- Contribute to privacy, security, AI governance, and EU AI Act compliance documentation.
Requirements
- Requires 1–2 years of AI engineering, software engineering, or intelligent automation experience, including production AI or LLM features used by real users.
- Requires strong Python and SQL skills with production code ownership.
- Requires experience integrating large language models into production systems, including prompt and context design, retrieval-augmented generation, structured output, and graceful failure handling.
- Requires practical experience with at least one major cloud AI platform: Azure AI, AWS Bedrock, or Google Vertex.
- Requires solid backend and full-stack engineering fundamentals, including APIs, data pipelines, testing, and CI/CD.
- Requires strong communication skills and professional fluency in English.
- Preferred qualifications include evaluation engineering, eval harnesses, regression suites, LLM-as-judge methods, human-in-the-loop review, context engineering, agent orchestration, LangGraph, MCP, Temporal, long-running workflows, observability, and inference cost control.
