Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and implement frontend and backend web applications and components.
- Troubleshoot performance, response time, capacity, and system limitation issues.
- Design APIs and interfaces and develop database schemas and queries.
- Ensure organizational data quality, integrity, and consistency.
- Collaborate with business partners, database and systems teams, networking resources, and external vendors.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in a senior software engineering role.
- At least 5 years of experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails as a core language and framework.
- At least 5 years of experience with API design and interface technologies such as JSON, ProtoBuf, REST, RPC, and XML.
- At least 5 years of frontend development experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React, plus database design and queries using technologies such as PostgreSQL and MySQL.
- Knowledge of integrating GenAI into development workflows.
- Preferred experience with RSpec, MiniTest, CircleCI, Jenkins, DevOps, and AWS infrastructure.
- Preferred expert knowledge of GoLang, Java, or similar compiled, high-concurrency, lower-level languages such as Erlang, C++, or Rust.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, cross-functional collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
