Base Salary
$130k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary contact for security reviews between Security Engineering and development teams.
- Support developers in implementing secure design practices.
- Communicate security findings clearly and align them with business objectives.
- Collaborate with other security sub-teams to ensure consistency across initiatives.
- Build relationships with stakeholders to promote security awareness.
- Perform comprehensive security reviews of applications and services.
- Evaluate architecture, authentication/authorization flows, and data handling.
- Document findings with actionable remediation recommendations.
- Work with development teams to address issues before release.
- Escalate critical risks to leadership with mitigation options.
- Participate in peer reviews of security assessments.
- Provide input on improving team processes and documentation.
- Share lessons learned to enhance security knowledge across SpaceX.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems, information security, computer science, or computer engineering, or 4+ years of information security experience without a degree.
- 1+ years of experience in information security, networking, or systems administration.
- Experience with secure code development practices.
- Familiarity with common programming languages such as Python, GO, C#, or Rust.
- Experience with Linux, Windows, and Mac system internals.
