Responsibilities
- Design security controls across AWS, SaaS, and on-premises data platforms.
- Implement AWS security capabilities including IAM, KMS, S3, logging, and networking controls.
- Implement data protection through encryption, masking, and fine-grained access control.
- Design secure data flows and access patterns across environments.
- Build reusable security guardrails and baseline configurations using Infrastructure as Code.
- Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines through IaC scanning, secrets detection, and policy-as-code.
- Automate compliance and security enforcement.
- Perform threat modeling and security reviews.
- Improve logging, monitoring, and detection capabilities.
- Support audits, vulnerability remediation, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with data engineering, platform, cloud, architecture, network, and risk teams.
- Promote secure-by-default practices and contribute to long-term platform security improvements.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on security engineering experience with architectural thinking.
- Practical AWS security experience, including IAM, KMS, logging, and networking.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CDK, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience building automated security controls and guardrails.
- Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages.
- Exposure to data lakes, data warehouses, analytics platforms, Oracle, or SAP is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and a pragmatic mindset.
- Fluent spoken and written English is required.
