Base Salary
$120k - $261k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build secure, high-performance Outlook Mobile features across email and calendar experiences.
- Define application architecture and technical approaches.
- Produce well-tested, maintainable, and instrumented code.
- Use telemetry, analytics, experimentation, customer feedback, and product data to improve reliability, performance, and user experience.
- Collaborate with product managers, technical leads, and partner teams on requirements, APIs, technical solutions, and development tools.
- Use AI-assisted coding tools responsibly while maintaining correctness, security, testing, and maintainability standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience, or equivalent experience.
- Coding experience in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud background check.
- Preferred: Master’s degree and 6+ years of experience, bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience, or equivalent experience.
- Preferred: customer focus, high-quality user experience delivery, project management, communication, and cross-team collaboration skills.
- Preferred: experience with modern mobile architecture, performance, reliability, telemetry, experimentation, and AI-assisted coding tools.

- Base pay is listed for U.S. locations, with separate ranges for the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City metropolitan area.
