Responsibilities
- Design and implement complex software features and systems for additive manufacturing applications.
- Develop and maintain software using .NET, Python, and Node.js.
- Build solutions for camera integration, imaging, frame grabbers, data transfer, image normalization, calibration, and resolution.
- Contribute to architecture decisions, coding standards, engineering practices, code reviews, planning, and retrospectives.
- Support hardware selection and performance evaluation against system requirements.
- Collaborate with product managers, hardware teams, manufacturing, and additive engineering teams.
- Improve code quality, tooling, CI/CD pipelines, automation, and monitoring.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for production issues.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, cybersecurity, export control, and data protection requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to other engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or another STEM field.
- Several years of professional experience in software engineering or a comparable technical role.
- Strong experience in product development.
- Understanding of SDLC, Lean/Agile, CI/CD, software security, scalability, and testing practices.
- Experience in signal processing, image processing, camera systems, or machine vision.
- Fluent German and English.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Experience in industrial, manufacturing, additive manufacturing, or 3D-printing environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with data acquisition, machine control, industrial protocols, or hardware integration is preferred.
- Experience with Docker or other containerization technologies is preferred.
- Knowledge of secure coding, identity and access management, and enterprise compliance requirements is preferred.
