Responsibilities
- Own critical features for a Chromium-based enterprise browser from conception through deployment.
- Solve complex performance, multithreading, multiprocessing, debugging, and user-experience challenges.
- Improve engineering processes, tools, and overall product quality.
- Mentor and guide fellow engineers while fostering shared ownership and technical excellence.
- Research low-level systems and operating-system APIs to develop security solutions.
- Collaborate effectively with diverse cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- 8+ years of endpoint development experience using C++, including complex performance optimization and multithreaded or multiprocess challenges.
- Exceptional debugging skills using varied tools across Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Strong understanding of Chromium internals and experience contributing to open-source projects preferred.
- Familiarity with browser fundamentals including cookies, sandboxing, and profiles preferred.
- Experience with JavaScript and/or building Chrome extensions preferred.
- Understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms and experience with OAuth and OIDC preferred.
- Experience with low-level systems and operating-system APIs preferred.
- Proven ability to guide and inspire other engineers preferred.
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills preferred.
