Base Salary
$175k - $278k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own Plaud’s detection and response layer and cloud infrastructure security foundation to support SOC 2 Type II audit readiness.
- Remediate credential exposure across AWS and GCP, deploy and tune CSPM, implement infrastructure-as-code security gates, and establish Zero Standing Privileges through JIT and CIEM.
- Deploy the SIEM platform and author at least 30 MITRE ATT&CK-mapped detection rules across cloud, endpoint, and SaaS telemetry.
- Own the incident response lifecycle, develop playbooks for at least four incident categories, lead P1/P2 response, and improve MTTD to 60 minutes or less.
- Produce continuous SOC 2 Type II operational evidence covering log retention, alert records, control reviews, and control narratives.
- Publish security and risk governance reports and maintain vulnerability SLA compliance of at least 90%.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of hands-on security engineering experience with depth in cloud security or security operations and working fluency in the other area.
- Experience building security infrastructure from zero, including tool selection, baseline configuration, and policy definition.
- Strong knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK, CIS Benchmarks L1/L2, cloud-native security tooling, and cloud and endpoint log-source integration.
- Familiarity with SOC 2 Type II controls CC6, CC7, and third-party audit evidence requirements.
- Regular use of LLMs for alert summarization, detection-rule generation, SOAR playbook drafting, or infrastructure-as-code policy automation, including a demonstration of recent AI usage.
