Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design of next-generation software components and scalable simulation frameworks.
- Develop high-performance C++ simulation models and supporting software ecosystems.
- Design and implement communication layers for distributed real-time applications and low-latency network data exchange.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and use containers and virtual machines for deployment across diverse hardware environments.
- Create developer tools such as code generators and automated testing frameworks.
- Participate in requirements engineering, integration, and acceptance testing across the full software lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
- At least five years of professional industry experience in complex software environments, with a focus on simulation or real-time systems.
- Expert knowledge of modern C++, including memory management and real-time constraints.
- Proficiency in Python for automation, data analysis, and tool development.
- Experience designing modular, extensible, and maintainable software architectures.
- Strong knowledge of networking protocols for distributed real-time systems.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or virtual machines and with CI/CD pipelines such as GitLab CI or Jenkins.
- Mastery of Git and experience with collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Experience with unit, integration, Software-in-the-Loop, and Hardware-in-the-Loop testing.
- Fluency in English; German and/or Spanish are advantageous.
- Experience with Qt/QML or Go is a plus, along with a proactive attitude.
