Responsibilities
- Design, code, test, and debug technical solutions, including complex components.
- Provide product support and fix defects in older technologies while helping move legacy products to newer web technologies.
- Write clean, documented code and follow software development best practices.
- Estimate development effort, meet schedules, and collaborate on software specifications, design, and development.
- Perform and create automated and manual tests to ensure software is fit for purpose.
- Identify technical risks, process deficiencies, and improvement opportunities, then propose and implement solutions.
- Ensure implementations are technically sound, secure, maintainable, and have low defect rates.
- Maintain current technical knowledge and suggest innovative solutions that improve efficiency and productivity.
Requirements
- Experience with Microsoft C#.
- Good understanding and experience of Microsoft SQL Server.
- Understanding and experience of APIs.
- Experience with unit testing.
- Good knowledge of quality standards, legislation, and software engineering best practices.
- Awareness of current software engineering trends and developments.
- Experience with Agile Kanban methodologies and project management.
- Ability to identify technical risks and propose alternative solutions.
- A degree-level or equivalent education in a relevant subject such as computer science, computer engineering, information management systems, software development, or business information systems is preferred.
- Experience with TypeScript and Angular is advantageous.
- Awareness and experience of GCP, AWS, and Azure DevOps is desirable.
- Highly developed attention to detail is desirable.
