Responsibilities
- Own software solutions deployed to customers.
- Develop Space C2 and mission management capabilities for end-to-end mission systems.
- Integrate legacy defense systems with new orbital and ground-based capabilities.
- Write software to improve products and scale mission capabilities across users and customers.
- Collaborate across teams to plan, build, and test complex functionality.
- Create and analyze metrics for debugging and monitoring.
- Triage issues, determine root causes, and coordinate next steps.
- Partner with end users to translate mission needs into features while balancing user experience and engineering constraints.
Requirements
- Strong engineering background from industry or school, ideally in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
- Ability to understand complex systems and detailed requirements quickly.
- Ability to solve complex technical problems with little oversight.
- Clear communication and organizational skills, including documentation and training-material creation.
- 4+ years of experience working with programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, Rust, Go, or JavaScript.
- Experience with Space C2 software systems and spacecraft operations.
- Active U.S. Top Secret SCI security clearance that can be maintained.
- Preferred: experience with Go, Rust, or C++.
- Preferred: experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, or Helm deployment tooling.
- Preferred: exposure to space-ground hardware such as sensors, radars, and telescopes.
- Preferred: exposure to space-related simulation and hardware integration.
- Preferred: experience with space software standards and modular software services development.
