Responsibilities
- Define the architecture of large-scale, multi-cluster and multi-cloud Kubernetes orchestration platforms.
- Establish infrastructure-as-code standards and governance for multiple teams.
- Lead infrastructure secrets-management and security strategies.
- Design end-to-end observability strategies and define SLAs, SLOs, and SLIs for critical products.
- Serve as a technical reference during high-severity incidents and lead root-cause analyses.
- Mentor senior and mid-level engineers and raise the team’s technical capability.
- Evaluate and propose new orchestration and observability technologies and tools.
- Work directly with clients and stakeholders to align reliability and performance requirements.
Requirements
- Advanced, proven experience with Kubernetes in large-scale environments, including architecture, scalability, and security.
- Solid experience in software development and automation languages, internal tools, and integrations.
- Expertise in containers, orchestration strategies, infrastructure as code, reusable modules, and IaC governance.
- Deep experience with secrets management, including architecture, policies, and application integration.
- Expertise in observability and log analysis, with a history of implementing comprehensive monitoring strategies.
- Strong command of SLA, SLO, SLI, and SRE reliability practices.
- Advanced experience with GitOps and establishing standards for multiple teams.
- Solid experience with multi-cloud and high-availability architectures.
- Established FinOps expertise and experience optimizing costs at scale.
- Advanced experience with the Pkl configuration language.
- Advanced knowledge of generative AI tools applied to platform engineering and DevSecOps practices.
- Advanced or fluent English and a history of technical leadership and mentoring.
- Advanced Kubernetes and secrets-management certifications are desirable, as is ArgoCD certification.
