Responsibilities
- Build robust, easy-to-use foundational platforms and tools for engineering teams.
- Exemplify cloud-native site reliability best practices.
- Write performant, maintainable, clear, and concise code.
- Employ strong problem-solving skills to debug cloud-native distributed systems.
- Influence and educate the engineering organization on new architectural patterns.
- Provide robust documentation to promote self-service for engineers.
- Take calculated risks and champion new ideas.
Requirements
- 5+ years of applicable experience.
- Strong Operating Systems skills, preferably Linux.
- Experience operating cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
- Experience with container technologies like Kubernetes or Docker.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Go, or Bash.
- Experience with code collaboration tools like GitHub or ArgoCD.
- Familiarity with DevOps CI/CD platforms for automating infrastructure provisioning.
- Experience using observability tools for debugging.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Ability to design tooling for operational management of SaaS/PaaS systems.
- Empathy to support the needs of software engineers.
- Ability to obtain UK SC security clearance with 5 years UK residency.
