Responsibilities
- Assess the current automation suite and migrate it to Playwright and suitable technologies.
- Architect automation frameworks from scratch and develop automated functional UI and API/service-level tests.
- Integrate automated scripts, test reporting, and testing infrastructure into CI/CD processes.
- Define and document test frameworks, coding standards, design patterns, development methodologies, and test documentation.
- Review code and ensure testing guidelines, standards, and quality requirements are followed.
- Define quality metrics and measure test effectiveness, testing efficiency, and overall product quality.
- Report on the quality of products under test and manage, analyze, and mitigate testing risks.
- Collaborate with QA teams to automate manual testing processes.
- Onboard new project team members and provide technical advice to testing teams.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional experience in QA automation for web and backend/API testing.
- Experience using Claude and other AI development tools to accelerate script creation and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of testing methods, techniques, types, methodologies, and test documentation.
- Experience creating automation frameworks from scratch and integrating reporting tools such as Allure.
- Experience with BDD, ATDD, and TDD approaches.
- Knowledge of PlaywrightJS, PuppeteerJS, or WebdriverIO and at least one listed JavaScript test runner.
- Understanding of JavaScript event-loop behavior, asynchronous execution, CSS selectors, and XPath syntax.
- Experience with CI tools such as Jenkins, Bitbucket CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or TeamCity.
- Experience with version control systems such as Git or SVN.
- Knowledge of AWS or Azure DevOps services and SQL and NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Redis.
- Experience working in Agile, Scrum, or Kanban development environments.
- Upper-Intermediate or stronger spoken and written English proficiency.
- Availability to work with four hours of overlap with the central US area.
