Base Salary
$200k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build Suno’s iOS app across creation, discovery, playback, and social experiences
- Create foundational abstractions and libraries for performant, highly interactive audio and animation
- Collaborate with product and design to shape the app’s feel, flow, and direction
- Optimize performance, responsiveness, frame rates, load times, and micro-interactions
- Instrument and monitor app health and iterate based on real user data after launch
- Set technical direction for the iOS platform and define architectural patterns
- Mentor engineers and improve code quality, abstractions, and engineering culture
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience shipping production iOS apps for Senior level or 7+ years for Staff level
- Advanced expertise in Swift, including SwiftUI with UIKit where necessary
- Deep experience building fluid animations and translating design prototypes into production-grade code
- Strong performance optimization skills, including profiling, benchmarking, UI thread contention, and network efficiency
- Strong attention to user experience and product quality
- Ability to scope work, make tradeoffs, and ship in ambiguous environments
- Collaborative communication with designers, product managers, and backend teams
- Experience with audio playback systems, streaming pipelines, or real-time audio is a plus
- Experience with social product features such as feeds, follow graphs, notifications, and publishing flows is a plus
- Experience designing or consuming mobile-first APIs with backend engineers is a plus
- Experience building 0-to-1 consumer products at a fast-moving startup is a plus
- Technical leadership or mentorship experience is a plus, especially for Staff candidates
