Responsibilities
- Own the QA process from test planning and case design through execution, automation, and sign-off.
- Define test cases, golden paths, and acceptance criteria with product and engineering teams.
- Build and maintain automated test suites for frontend and backend services.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, business scenario, and end-to-end testing.
- Design and execute load and performance tests and interpret the results.
- Identify, document, and track defects through resolution with engineering teams.
- Maintain test plans, test case libraries, golden path references, and other QA documentation.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing.
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and DevOps to assess requirements and risk areas.
- Continuously improve QA processes, tooling, and test coverage.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of professional hands-on experience in software QA or test engineering.
- Ability to independently own QA and testing strategy for a product or service.
- Strong experience designing test cases, test plans, golden paths, and supporting documentation.
- Hands-on experience testing frontend applications, UI/UX flows, cross-browser behavior, backend services, and APIs.
- Experience with frontend and backend test automation frameworks and tools.
- Experience designing and running load and performance tests.
- Ability to create business case and scenario-based tests for real user and system workflows.
- Comfort with Git for version control of test code and assets.
- Familiarity with microservices architecture and its effect on testing strategy and environments.
- Preferred experience testing C#/.NET, Java/Spring Boot, and Next.js systems.
- Preferred familiarity with PostgreSQL, containerized or Kubernetes environments, Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, and Linux.
- Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines is preferred.
- Strong ownership, communication, collaboration, attention to detail, documentation, prioritization, and organization skills.
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
