Responsibilities
- Design, develop, refactor, test, and maintain new software features across multiple modules.
- Develop web-based and mobile applications supporting deployments across Navy ship hull types.
- Participate in requirements analysis, design, implementation, and testing throughout the software development life cycle.
- Contribute to DevSecOps pipelines, cybersecurity scans, software bills of materials, and continuous deployment to on-premises and cloud evaluation environments.
- Support integration and testing activities, including Test Readiness Reviews and Production Readiness Reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or a related science, engineering, or mathematics field.
- Strong skills with Java and Java EE development tools.
- Experience designing and developing applications using Java, .NET, SQL, Web Services, JavaScript, and XML.
- Familiarity with software engineering disciplines from requirements development through validation.
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility for a Department of Defense Secret security clearance, which is required within a reasonable period.
- Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, initiative, and multitasking skills.
- High level of experience with Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Experience with relational databases, Docker or Kubernetes, and Agile development is desired.
