Responsibilities
- Create clean, well-constructed and unit-tested software code.
- Complete development and support activities managed through the team’s Scrum board.
- Assist with debugging and fault-finding for operational systems.
- Support feature design and collaborate with the Product Owner and project stakeholders.
- Contribute to sprint ceremonies, team planning and continuous improvement.
- Write system tests under the guidance of the test manager.
Requirements
- Currently work toward a relevant degree such as Software Engineering or Computer Science, or demonstrate equivalent knowledge and skills through work experience or other training.
- Have experience writing code in Python, Java or JavaScript.
- Understand the software development lifecycle and the importance of delivering work to deadlines.
- Demonstrate strong analytical skills, logical reasoning and problem-solving ability.
- Be a sole UK citizen and able to gain and maintain UK Government Security Check clearance.
- Show a genuine passion for software development and computing.
