Base Salary

$106k - $175k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the availability, stability, and health of program resources supporting operations, experimentation, development, and testing.
  • Develop and maintain automated system-health and status reporting using commercial or customer dashboards.
  • Provide software sustainment using software configuration-management controls and processes.
  • Improve engineering processes, tools, monitoring, and platform/application/data visibility.
  • Design and develop automation for daily verification and validation of key functional capabilities.
  • Automate configuration management and improve visibility into configuration status across environments.
  • Apply systems-engineering principles and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system reliability.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on findings and communicate insights to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Investigate and document system deficiencies supporting technical operations.
  • Periodically travel to remote locations to support testing as part of a small engineering and research team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in computer science, networking, information technology, software engineering, systems engineering, DevSecOps, or application lifecycle management.
  • Experience with automation, configuration management, system validation, monitoring tools, virtualization, cloud platforms, Kubernetes, and automated or integration testing frameworks.
  • Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, Splunk, VMware, vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, Linux KVM, Jenkins, GitLab Runners, AWS, Azure, GCP, Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with application providers.
  • Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, communication, presentation, and leadership-reporting abilities.
  • Familiarity with modern IT frameworks and methodologies such as Agile and ITIL.
  • U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain or maintain a government security clearance, including an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility within three months.
  • IAT Level II certification.
  • Must be able to participate in the ARL drug-testing program and comply with applicable electronic and physical monitoring requirements.
